Blackhawks vs Canucks - Recap

 

Antti Niemi experienced his worst effort of the season in the Blachawks' 5-1 loss to the Canucks. Niemi was down 3-0 in the first 18 minutes of Saturday's game. Vancouver's Henrik Sedin and Steve Bernier scored in the first and goaltender Robert Luongo made 43 saves. Luongo is 10-4-0 with a 1.59 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage in 14 career games vs. the Blackhawks

Hawks' Andrew Ladd managed three hits, two shots on goal and a takeaway. Captain Jonathan Toews scored 3:30 in the third but Sedin scored seconds later. Sedin leads the NHL with a total of 74 points.

The Hawks have two losses against the Northwest Division in 14 games, both against Vancouver. The Canucks won their fourth straight and our now tied with Colorado in the Northwest Division.
